According to SuperData which is a research firm, Apex Legends revenue has dropped by 74% in April. Compared to the game’s launch month, the figures are only one-quarter of it. The company estimates Apex Legends earned $24 million in April. It’s fairly low since its launch month had around $92 million in February.
This wasn’t a surprise, after all, Apex Legends has been unable to maintain its explosive start as the active daily player numbers are dropping each day. The significant drop in the number of people playing the game occurred because of a poor Battle Pass and lack of updates that the game was getting. Respawn Entertainment’s choices on shaping the game have clearly been backfired.
But still, a mobile version of the game is in the talks as well as launching the game in the Asian market. These measures could bring life back to Apex Legends. Again, according to the same company Apex Legends had the best start for a free-to-play.
All eyes are now on E3 2019. Apex Legends Season 2 will be revealed and we might even see a demo of the mobile version. Since the event will take place on June 10, we may not see any content updates until then.
